With the global population believed to be at 7.7 billion people as of November 2019, it should come as no surprise that food and agriculture-related business is booming.

In fact, the global food tech market is expected to grow over $250 billion by 2022, (source) and investors and corporations are pouring funds into food and ad tech-related businesses.

Tech investors have continued to accelerate the pace of of investment into food start-ups (with more than one billion invested in 2018), but the reality is that the true opportunity extends far beyond variations of meal delivery kits.
